About
Oakview Capital
Oakview Capital was formed to provide specialty real estate and business loan products, commercial loan brokerage, and credit solutions throughout the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area to include Maryland, Virginia and Washington, D.C.
In the current regulatory environment, banks and traditional home loan lenders are often unable to provide funding in a timely manner or at all due to significant internal and regulatory restrictions. We meet this need by providing private funds for borrowers whose loan request falls outside of the regulatory guidelines imposed by federal banking regulators and federal GSEs (FNMA/Freddie Mac, FHA, VA, etc.). We are also able to move quickly to fund requests where time is of the essence.
Some of our best referrals come from traditional residential mortgage loan officers (MLOs), Community Bankers, and successful local Realtors. We enable them to be powerful problem solvers by offering their customers alternative solutions when time is of the essence, or when quality loan requests simply fall outside institutional lending guidelines.
Our goal is to approach each client, understand their unique circumstances, and provide unique and fast, creative funding solutions.
We look forward to hearing about your next project!

We hope we can work with you and/or your clients. Please:
Our Primary lending products include:
Short-term loans for those wishing to acquire and renovate, or build on, local real estate for resale or rental housing.
Specialty home loan products for citizens and foreign nationals who do not meet the requirements for insurance or guaranty by Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, FHA, VA, etc.
We also offer structuring, packaging and brokering of bankable commercial loan requests so our customers can make a professional impression at local banks with which they seek funding.

Musseman is a strong advocate of applying “FinTech” or financial technology to streamline operations and processes, and stays abreast of the latest banking and payment systems innovations to make it easier for customers and referral sources to interact and close transactions with Oakview. In the late 1990s he created an Internet B2B platform linking mortgage brokers to large wholesale lenders. He is familiar with current FinTech initiatives within the banking space, including Dwolla, Yodlee, Plaid, Bitcoin/Alt-currencies, and emerging Banking APIs.
Previous to his career in banking and lending, Musseman served five years as a Naval Officer and Staff Officer with the U.S. Navy, stationed in Europe, Hawaii and Japan. He received his BS from the U.S. Naval Academy in 1990 and an MBA from Emory University in 1997. In the current regulatory environment, banks and traditional home loan lenders are often unable to provide loan funding due to significant internal and regulatory restrictions. What we do is provide private funds to meet the needs of borrowers whose loan request falls outside the regulatory box defined by federal banking regulators and federal GSEs (FNMA/Freddie Mac, FHA, VA, etc.)
